DateMate User Service Agreement

Agreement updated: September 16, 2026

Rules can be as complete as you like — if nobody can get through them, they may as well not exist. So this agreement takes a different shape: it answers, one after another, the ten questions you are most likely to ask. Question 1 sets out when the agreement starts to bind you; Question 2 marks out who is allowed through the door; Questions 3 to 6 cover four lines that must not be crossed; Question 7 deals with payment and subscriptions; Question 8 addresses who owns what; Question 9 explains how far our responsibility extends; and Question 10 closes with the consequences of violations, dispute resolution and how to reach us. DateMate is published by DevByDesign, with ShineOn Window Cleaning LLC as the legal entity. From the day you download, register or begin using this app, this agreement together with the DateMate Privacy Policy forms the arrangement between you and us.

Question 1 — When does this agreement start to bind me?

The moment you register, sign in, or access and use the app's features in any manner, you are signalling that you have read and understood this agreement in full and accept all of it, and that you are willing to observe the service rules the platform publishes. If any part of it is unacceptable to you, stop registering, signing in and using the app immediately.

The agreement is not fixed in stone. When features change, laws move or platform policy is updated, it may be revised; the revised text is published in the app or on the official website and the date at the top is refreshed. Continued use after a revision takes effect counts as acceptance of it.

Question 2 — Who is eligible to register and use the service?

Registration is open to adults only. Before you start filling anything in, check the three conditions below — all of them must hold at the same time:

If even one condition fails, registering for, accessing and using this app are all off the table. An account verified to be held by someone under 18 will be closed and the related information deleted along with it; the consequences of falsified details rest with the person who registered.

Question 3 — What content must never be posted?

Whether it appears in public posts or inside private chats, the following content may not be uploaded, published or circulated:

Question 4 — May I register under a false identity, or open several accounts?

No. One person, one account is the baseline requirement. The following practices all count as false-identity behaviour:

Once verified, the accounts concerned will be closed, and virtual benefits held inside them will not be compensated.

Question 5 — What counts as disrupting platform order?

The shared environment that every member relies on has to be held intact, so the following behaviours are expressly forbidden:

To identify such behaviour we record IMEI / MEID and MAC addresses, Android ID, device manufacturer name, screen resolution and pixel density, and we retain usage records including session duration, distribution of activity across the day, ranked feature-use frequency and interaction frequency. Once abnormal behaviour is confirmed, the relevant functions are cut off immediately and, where necessary, the account is restricted or banned.

Question 6 — What other kinds of use are unlawful?

Using this app to carry out anything that violates applicable law is not permitted — promoting illegal gambling, pyramid schemes and rebate-for-recruits arrangements, buying and selling accounts or trafficking other people's personal information, fraud and money laundering, stalking and harassment, or spreading malware, to name a few. Assisting others in any of these is equally forbidden. The app's security mechanisms and content moderation measures must not be circumvented, broken or probed for weaknesses either.

Question 7 — How do payment, subscriptions and auto-renewal work?

Which route the money takes

Some features and exclusive benefits in this app have to be unlocked by purchasing a membership subscription or an in-app item; the exact price, billing cycle and scope of benefits are those shown on the in-app display page. The entire payment chain is handled by the official Google Play Billing system from start to finish — your card number, payment password and payment verification details neither pass through us nor get stored by us.

When renewal happens automatically

A subscription rolls into the next term the moment the current billing cycle ends, unless you have cancelled beforehand. To stop the renewal, the cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the current cycle ends; miss that window and the next cycle's charge goes through automatically.

Where subscriptions are managed

Viewing, changing or cancelling a subscribed service can be done at any time via Google Play → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Once virtual benefits have been used, refunds are generally no longer available, though you may still apply separately under Google Play's refund policy. For accounts banned for violations, amounts already paid are not refunded. Closing your account does not terminate a subscription in step with it; that still has to be cancelled separately along the path described above.

Question 8 — Who holds the intellectual property in the platform's content, and who holds it in mine?

What belongs to us

Interface design, program code, brand marks, graphic assets, text content and feature design are either owned by us or licensed to us in accordance with the law, and are all protected by intellectual property law. Without written permission, no individual or organisation may copy, modify, scrape, publish, exploit commercially or otherwise circulate them without authorisation.

What belongs to you

Original content you create and publish on the platform remains yours; the intellectual property stays in your hands. Providing the service does not give us licence to reach for ownership of your work or to claim anything beyond what the service requires.

The licence you grant us

To keep the service running, you need to grant us a licence — worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and sublicensable — allowing us to store, display, transmit and technically process the relevant content, and to carry out the maintenance the service needs. Once you delete content or close your account, that licence lapses within a reasonable period.

Question 9 — Will the platform answer for how I use the service?

What we deliver is a tool, not a guarantee

What is placed in your hands is a set of technical capabilities and an information-exchange tool. Private interactions between members are something we neither involve ourselves in nor participate in, and certainly do not guarantee; chats and social arrangements that users start on their own are not substantively reviewed by us, and we do not endorse them.

Decisions you make are a risk you bear yourself

What to discuss, whom to interact with, what to post, whether to leave contact details and whether to meet in person — these are decisions you make yourself, and the safety risks, financial losses, personal injuries, disputes or other consequences that follow rest with you. Treat transfer, investment, loan or meeting requests from strangers with suspicion; if a meeting is genuinely necessary, choosing a public place is the safer option, and telling friends or family about the plan is advisable too.

Where our responsibility is limited

If an interruption to service or a loss of data stems from force majeure, network failure, a third-party service being discontinued, or an operational error on your own part, we will assist with recovery within reason, and any liability for compensation is capped at what the law mandatorily prescribes. In disputes between you and other members, we do not step in as a party.

Question 10 — What happens to my account if I violate the rules — and whom do I contact?

Each of the following triggers the violation-handling process: breaching any part of this agreement, submitting false identity details, posting prohibited content, committing fraud or harassment, disrupting the platform's normal operating order, or any other conduct that violates applicable law. Depending on how serious the matter is, the measures below may be applied individually or in combination:

Where a criminal offence is suspected, the necessary records are preserved and submitted to law enforcement in accordance with the law. For accounts restricted or terminated because of violations, we bear no additional liability for compensation.

The formation, validity, interpretation and performance of this agreement are governed by the laws and regulatory requirements applicable where the service is located. Should a dispute arise, the parties should first sit down and negotiate; if no agreement is reached, either party may bring proceedings before a court with jurisdiction. During negotiations, the remaining provisions of this agreement continue in force.

Questions, comments or complaints about this agreement, the platform rules or the related services may be sent to us through the following channels, and we will respond within a reasonable period:
